Humanity is redefined as the vast array of spectators which decides how all should look and move through space. All spaces are common, there is no inside or outside. Adam and Eve walk through the streets of a city not unlike New York. They are naked - no matter the season or the circumstance, no matter how trivial or profound the moment. In a series of fifteen photographic tableaux, Adam and Eve play out moments depicting everyday life in a dystopic urban context. Their body language and gestures are derived from the visual codes of classical painting. This reference serves to underscore the cultural traditions that have brought western civilization to the threshold of the completely visible world." Website: |
