She currently lives in New York. “My documentary work requires developing a relationship with my subjects that takes time. This goes for prostitutes and street gangs in Brazil, the French police at work, baby orphan orangutans on Indonesia or a young couple dealing with their newborn triplets in New York. I become a part of their families and they allow me to share their lives.” These image have been published and exhibited internationally and have won numerous awards and grants. “My passion is to be a voice for the voiceless, which is why I work with women and children, bring back their survival struggle in the hopes that people will care and help change the world when they see what is happening around them.” |
