Elizabeth Hunter, a photographer who has exhibited in various shows around the New York area, presents a series of self-portraits that blend both a mood of sensuality and detachment.
Through these images, Hunter examines “… a deeper and personal side of myself,” developing a group of photographs that bring the viewer in contact with her private world. “For each image I had to find a new direction for mood and composition… confronting myself through the use of the camera I often experience a displacement between the imagery and myself.” Her photographs reveal an active and delicate self-exploration.
