Artist Statement:
"Although tango has come to represent the universal symbol of sensuality and style, its origins stretch back to the poor bordellos of Buenos Aires, to the smoky, dimly-lit ballrooms called milongas. Here, for over a hundred years, a race of night dwellers fueled by alcohol and cigarettes has continued to make its nighty descent into this erotically charged world where power and gender issues, fleeting relationships, alliances, rivalries, and jealousies are played out on the dance floor."
