Artist Statement:
"My photography can not be packaged into one isolated genre, it is both prophetic and contemplative, reflecting the call to be an active participant in the building of a world guided by the South African principle of Ubuntu (my humanity is caught up, and is inextricably bound up, in what is yours). The two photographs featured on this page reflect Ubuntu. They were taken in Akko, Israel in 2007, and feature two women dancing for peace, one Israeli, and the other Palestinian. It is a testament to the valiant yet too often ignored peace work between Israelis and Palestinians. Unfortunately their efforts remain mostly “latent” lost in a sea of relentless violence, and persecution."
